 Lunchtime Staff

Here at Queensbridge, we believe that lunchtime should be a valuable and enjoyable learning experience. Children are encouraged to use their manners, hold polite conversation with their friends and relax and ‘reset’ ready for the afternoon. Children are given ample time to enjoy their meal and enjoy the fresh air.

On occasions where it is extremely wet, or the weather prevents outdoor play, children will engage in a range of activities inside. It is important that our families understand that we do encourage resilience and that a little bit of rain will not prevent outdoor learning. This is why we insist that all children have a coat and a pair of wellies in school.

We have a very experienced lunchtime team. This includes senior leaders, our safeguarding  and welfare officer and our teaching and non-teaching staff.

Alongside our behaviour policy, we also utilise lunchtime as a time for reflection. We recognise that as human beings we can make mistakes. When mistakes have been made, and / or school rules are broken, children will be encourage to reflect upon their choices and talk about how to move forward.

We are proud of the culture we have created, and take pride in how we run an effective and enjoyable lunch.
